INVITATION

It is our great pleasure to announce and to invite you to attend the 10th Symposium on Power System Management which will take place in Opatija between November 11th – 14th, 2012. The topics which are selected for the Symposium continue the tradition of the previous symposia and round off the topic of power system management in the context of higher penetration of renewables and impact on Power System as well as open electricity markets. The objective is to provide a forum to share information and experiences between electric utilities, manufacturers, consultants, universities and authorities in the field of power system management.

As part of the Symposium, the roundtable titled Impact of Renewables on Power System with following preferential subjects:
- Impact of Wind Farms on Operation and Management of Power System,
- Defending Power Systems from Large Disturbances,
- Creating Technical and Economic Environment and Standards for Grid Connection of Renewable Energy Sources

will be held. In its introductory part, three invited papers will be presented, followed by a discussion open to all participants.

The main two subjects to be discussed are the following:

• Technical Aspects of Power System Management
• Issues of Electricity Market Development

in which we expect your contribution.

During the Symposium, all those interested can organize exhibitions, hold special lectures and promotional presentations.
