5th International Colloquium "Transformer Research and Asset Management"
Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to invite you to the 5th International Colloquium “Transformer Research and Asset Management” to be held in Remisens Premium Hotel Ambasador, Opatija, Croatia from October 9 – 12, 2019. The Colloquium is supported by CIGRÉ National Committee of Croatia with CIGRÉ Study Committee A2 - Transformers, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb and the Centre of Excellence for Transformers in Zagreb.
I am proud that this international conference and exhibition is recognized as an event of great interest for researchers and scientists from all over the world. Last time, more than 200 participants from 25 countries have presented their papers in oral and poster sessions. Based on previous tradition, colloquium became a forum through which progress in research and technology development is reported globally.
Traditionally chosen topics will offer new answers to R&D and technology trends, as well as to recent challenges in Transformer Diagnostic and Maintenance:
1. Numerical Modelling
2. Materials, Components and New Technologies
3. Transformer Life Management
Previous conferences provided unique opportunities for discussion that have led to a wider and much better understanding of power and instruments transformers and its components. This time we expect more contribution about actual trends like digitalization, smart grid, resilience etc.
With visionary speakers, the Colloquium will host tutorials and will provide insight into the nowadays hottest topics in the area of transformers.
I invite you to join us for the discussions where the participants will have the opportunity to network and develop their own contacts and to identify best practices in a friendly academic atmosphere. Being connected with the University of Zagreb, the Colloquium has also been a unique opportunity for pre- and post-graduate students to improve their knowledge and establish links with industrial, academic and research associates.
You will also be in the position to meet top transformer and transformer component related companies in the world at our exhibition area. I would especially like to invite our potential sponsors to join us and introduce themselves and their products to all participants of the Colloquium.
Finally, I thank all the Technical and Organizing Committee members who accepted to be a part of this valuable event.
I am looking forward to seeing you in Opatija on October 9-12, 2019.
